Perfume (International Writers)
This was an interesting read. It, at times, was difficult to follow because my french is rusty and my knowledge of french geography borders on the non-existent. This is the story of a man with no scent and his quest to make the perfect perfume. The problem is this involves knocking off a few virgins to obtain their scent.The story takes place in mid 18th century France and contains wonderful descriptions of the lifestyle and pageantry of that era.
